I was wondering if the 351 based 427 stroker is similar to the 347 where it doesn't last very long and starts to leak oil because of the connecting rod length. Thanks.

I think both of those yarns are tired "internet rumors" that have more to do with shoddy workmanship than any engineering problem.

The chevy 454 motor has a *worse* rod/stroke ratio than the 347 and you don't hear anybody whining about it turning into a clapped out rod-knocking POS at 30k miles like you do with the 347.

Here's a clue though: when you get your 347 or 427 built, do *NOT* take it to a chevy shop. LOL.
