I just got my new motor together and it will not idle. [Mad] I tried a different Mass Air but it did not make a difference. [Confused] It surges a couple times and then dies. What else should I look at? [Frown] It runs fine above 1500rpms.

Check all the wires again. Im no genious, but my bud had the same problem when we were doing a simple bolt on install to the engine and we forgot to plug a sensor back in [Roll Eyes] . Dont let it fool you that it cant be something as simple as this....

Also check the idle set screw.......if the idle is too low it will buck and then die

What cam is in the "new motor"? Sometimes it takes a while for the EEC to learn the profile of a new cam.

It is an E303.

So you changed from stock to an E303? Yep, its going to take some time. My EEC didn't want to idle correctly for about 200 miles. You have to keep it alive and just deal with it for a while. If the problem continues, then we can go from there. [patriot]
