Does anyone know the times for a 88 gt mustang that is stock? 5.0 HO motor and all that.

What about with e303 cams and aftermarket heads? New flows from flowmasters and maybe a chip. What do you guys think? Oh and I'm talking about the quarter mile...

Nope, I'm gonna work on it for awhile, put some money into it make it look nice then maybe sell it. I met end up keeping it after all the work I'm gonna put into it. This week it's getting a new powerstering pump on Friday, Monday a new windsheild and hopefully new carpeting. We'll see what happens. It's my daily driver for right now. She's been good to me so far. I broke the u joints on my driveshaft last week so I got a new one, no shaking or clicking on the car. I just need to find a way to mount my battery.

Well my old car, 88 GT with everything in it. Stereo seats all that. I was able to beat a Stock SS. Prolly by half a car length or so up to about 100. If we both got good starts/same starts. My mods at that time were, e303 cam, edelbrok aluinum performer heads, edelbrok performer intake manifold, 65mm TB and EGR, 70mm Ford MAF calibrated for the 24 lb injectors, King Cobra HD Clutch, aluminum driveshaft, good tires, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, 3 core aluinum radiator, electric fan, full MSD... 14 degrees of timing, 93 cobra computer w/ chip. And the stock 2.73 gears. I would say if i ever had gone to track mid 13's. But decent gears or like 4.10's or something...maybe into the 12's. Friends 90GT only had h pipe and mufflers done to his otherwise stock GT and ran a 14.2 at siers. So somewhere inbetween there. Prolly the one problem of my car though....6 pistons were cracked...and the in the cylinder heads 7 of the 8 had cracks between the intake and exaust valves. So that couldnt have helped out my performance!

In good tune, 13.9's are possible @~99mph.
W/e-cam, edlebrocks or TF's, flowmasters, chip (custom of course)...probably low 13's at 103-104.

Ditch the flows for dynomax, get an off-road X, & a custom ground cam, 3.73's or 3.90's & an E-boc intake & mid-low 12's @110+ is highly likely. You'll need to upgrade the injectors too. Spend the extra dough for some AFR's & you'll get a few more MPH out of it.

Here is me when my car (the 90) was 100% stock.

Yeah, I was thinking speed density....forgot 88 Cali's are M/A cars.

and if I'm not mistaken , that 13 second pass was on a -2000 ft. density altitude day. [Razz] (just wish my car was running that day, lol!)

Eh, it's not that hard to run 13's w/a stock mustang & sticky tires.

You should know! My ExCHP ran 14.3's at 97-98 bone stock...well, 14 degrees timing & silencer removed....on stock general tires! 2.3-2.4 60fts!

Was it? I don't know. How can you tell? I'm still happy about that time [burnout] . But I must move on and go faster now [Big Grin] (4.10's, a new Eaton, and 31 spline axles...etc. are on the way) . What was up with your car then? Was that when you were having trouble with leaky gaskets?

It's all about the 60 ft! ( [burnout] = bad). That's pretty fast for the 60 ft. and being all stock. That could have been in the mid-high 13's with a 1.9-2.0.
