I was talking to griggs and they said while my steering shaft is out that i should replace it with thiers because long tube headers can melt the plastic on the stock shaft and cause steering problems? Is this true? is it worth the 225 bucks?

I have bbk 1 3/4 l/t with the stock steering shaft i had to bang the fuck out of my headers to make it work so if you have anything bigger than a 1 5/8 you might want to by it i should by one.

I have 1 5/8 longtubes, and would not be worried about an iron steering shaft (my humble opinion), however, I had to reroute/zip tie the clutch cable out of the way a bit.
