The Stant that I put in my 90 sucks. It sticks and makes the car run hot, and I'm thinking that the car running hot is steaming away my coolant (there are no leaks anywhere). So who makes a good thermostat that I should buy? I'll get an aluminum radiator soon too to help it run cooler.

whats up well i dont have a stang but i have a trans am and have a hypertech thermostat it seems to run cool.

I've put a hair under 100,000 miles on my stang 180 thermostat with no problems. As for losing coolant, you have a leak somewhere. I've found small leaks everywhere from loose hose clamps, hole in the radiator and even a loose drain plug that had backed off.

Try to smell out the problem area if you can't see the leakage. Hot coolant has a distinctive odor. As for a new radiator, for $100 Pep boys sells a "Max Cool" brass 3 core.

i just got one from kragens and it sucks. The thing doesnt seem to open till my car gets to near 220 degrees. My old one would open up at about 200

I carry a balanced, high-flow 180 deg. thermostat for $9.95. Works great and is _very_ accurate.
Another thing to replace is the radiator cap. People often overlook the cap, but they should be replaced every couple years at the most.
