Have a 2001 S281 N/A with MAC CAI, Bassani X-pipe w/cats, Dallas Mustang MIL Elims., FRPP 70mm throttle body and of course the Saleen under drives, Borla Cat back exhaust, 3:55 rear and the Power flash. Have been wanting to pull a few more ponies out of this puppy and have begun researching the C&L MAF, larger injectors and fuel pump.

Car runs strong but the other day I ran the thing up to see what it would do and at 145 mph, with pedal left, got a real bad "vibration" and backed out. I got to thinking maybe it wasn't vibration but was more like when you hit your rev limiter and started wondering if maybe I had out run the injectors or fuel pump.

With the return less fuel system I'm not sure an adjustable fuel pressure regulator is the answer, or even available, and I guess the real question is how do I actually find out what is going on? No Dyno's anywhere close to me in Central Ca.

Will going to a larger fuel pump cure what I believe to be the problem? Or should I go with the fuel pump, say 21 lb injectors and a C&L calibrated for the 21's?

I'm thinking I should get a Diablo Hellion and check injector duty cycle and see if maybe they are going static at that speed, but they would do that anyway if the pump is not supplying enough fuel, right? What size pump do I have, and what should I go up too? And, last question I promiss, will just going to a larger pump create any problems or will it work with the fuel pressure sensor on the fuel rail just fine?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
