On my 95 the alternator went dead so I checked the fuse and it was popped. With the key turned off when i try to put a new fuse in it will pop as soon as it touches the leads in the fuse box. If I disconnect the black wiring connector from the alternator I can then put the fuse in but as soon as I plug in the connector it zaps the fuse. Is this the alternator or a short somehere? Thanks

I would change the alt but its not even a year old and it is a 200 amp powermaster that I spent $400 for. I already sent it to powermaster to be fixed. Now we will just see how long it takes to get it back.
