how can u tell if the heater core hose is broken or bad b/c i was driving last night and next thing u know it there was water everywhere sounds like the heater core hose broke didnt come from front off car came from the back of the engine its ann 88 gt. thanks mario.

sounds like your heater core hose. Mine blew when i was driving home once hella steam came out of my engine area i didn't have my shifting cover on so hella steam came into the car it sucked i couldn't see lucky i was a mile from home so i just drove it home until i knew it was time to shut it off.

Turn the heater on, can u smeel coolant anywhere towards the front of the car? Is teh passenger side floor damp or wet? These are signs of a failed heater core.
