Do you know if that is a good size for these rims? I'm trying to get these tires today and they are by Firehawks. Do you know if these are good tires and I need to know if they will fit some 16" chrome pony's. Let me know asap thanks.

Not a good choice. Here's how to ready tire sizes:
EX: 225/60/ZR16

225= the widest part of the tire (normally the 'bulge' in the sidewall) measured in milimeters.

60= the % of width that is the sidewall. EX: 225/60 will have a sidewall of 135mm or 5.3 inches.

Z= the speed rating. Z = 149+, Z being the highest. On a stock mustang accept nothing less than V, I ALWAYS go for the Z.

R16= Rim size the tire was ment to fit.

So, given this, the stock tire size for the 16 inch ponies is 225/55/16. This would give the tire a height of 25.7 inches.

A 225/60/16 will be 26.6 inches tall.

Basically, you'll end up raising your car by 1 inch if you get these tires.

Here are a few good tires sizes for Ponies:

225/55/16 : stock, height = 25.7
245/50/16 : height = 25.6
245/45/16 : height = 24.7
255/50/16 : height = 26.0

The height of the tire WILL affect the accuracy of the speedo, so stick close to stock ~26 inches.

Tire brand/model also affect the tire dimensions, check the tire rack for precise measurements on tires. For instance, the Firehawk SZ50 (I think it's called) has a smaller tread surface area compared to say the Bridgstone Potenza series given the SAME tire size.

I personally like 225x50x16 at all four corners myself. But, others have these on the fronts with 245x45x16 on the back. Right now I have 255x50x16 on the back and they look way too big on the rims as well as on the car. The 60 series tire are too tall IMO. Go with 45 or 50 series which will look better and improve handling as well.
