Do I have anything to gain by getting a bypass? At what point do you need one? Basically any info would be great.

I'd look into a bigger one if your running 12 or more pounds...other wise the stock by-pass is good enough.

I heard it's real bad for the s/c if you don't have one because when the butterfly is closed the boost has nowhere to go except back words into the charger while it's still throwing more air into the discharge tube. I called Paxton about it and they said for street use you should have one and the only one big enough for my setup was the vortech mondo bypass.

well I dont know if something is wrong with the stock one or maybe I'm just a dumb ass. When I down shift hard or even when its not in gear(reving it)around 2500 rpms it seems to take awhile for the rpms to drop. As far as how much boost well since I work so damn much and dont really have time, that and I have been kinda putting it off I havent had a chance to install the gauges. It should only be running 8-9 psi.
