We changed the spark plugs and we found that the mass air hose blew off so we fixed that too and then started it up and it ran pretty good i think and we reved it a couple times when it was warmed up and everything seemed fine and then we turned it off and then went to restart it again and all it does is turn over it won't start at all anyone have this problem when they first supercharged their stang? Anyone know what it could be?

do you have a chip on it if so try takeing it off
and turning it on if it starts the it might be makeing a bad connection or the chip is bad

also have you checked all you conections to make sure you dont have a leak like bye your MAF or any of the inlet tubes maybe a connecton blew off

taking the chip out won't destroy the computer will it?

Did i say we also found that the hose going to the Mass Air was disconnected but i tighten that thing down good and then i double checked everything else. Any other reason why it would run good one minute and then not wanna start at all the next?

it wont hurt the computer if you take it out but make sure you dont rev it or drive it and put it under boost couse it will blow up the motor if you dont have a chip and you put it under boost

only resone it would not start that I can think of is a connection came lose on the blower wich would take in air wich the MAF is not reading

did you try flooring and keeping the gas floored and cranking the motor if it turns on then you have a leak

Leak where? Fuel lines or air inlet hoses for the supercharger?

noticed you are running 42# injectors. Is the chip programmed for that size injector? I read some of your other posts. If the car is running way to rich you will screw up the cats. Might be that smell you are smelling. Also if the chip is not programmed for that size injector you will get the erratic idle situation you were talking about.

yeah the chip is set for 42lb injectors

Oh I forgot. If you have a after market mass air I`m sure you have it calibrated for the 42#`s That will also work when going to big injectors. If running stock mass air though you need to have the chip burned for the larger injectors if not done already.

Sorry. I posted before I read your last answer. Good you are all set then. The only other thing I can think of is if you did not clean the pin connectors well enough where the chip plugs in that can definitely cause problems. Did you make sure you got all the grease of the pins before installing the chip?

that was pretty hard and we couldn't tell if its good enough we cleaned it pretty good though but i don't know we didn't wanna do it too much and ruin the connections. I think we might try starting it tomorrow with the chip out.

Improper contact cleaning is a large reason ECM modules fail OR work improperly.
Hope you figure it out.
I`m hit N the hay.

Hey Everyone just would like to say we tighten up all the hoses AGAIN and that seemed to have fixed the problem of it not wanting to start. It backfired at first and then ran normally we DID have to push the gas pedal to the floor to get it to start and after that it would start up like it was naturally aspirated. Only problem is it likes to idle weird and sometimes will die other time it'll run really good and then if we let it sit for a bit it'll just turn off like someone turned the key. It would start right back up afterwards though so that problem is gone. We are gonna keep testing it and this weekend we will install the MSD and maybe try the headers.

sounds like you did have a leak

you mean the car know sergouse and shuts off

hmmm it might be that you still have a leak its just not as big

do you have a airbypass valve to realeve pressure at idle

it might just need to be tuned right. I think if we tighten the clamps anymore they'll break
