Does anyone know if the upper intake on an Explorer flows better than a stock upper intake from a 90 5.0?

Yes it out flows the stocker and the lower helps out the situation too [Eek!]

I heard that there is clearance problems for stock hoods as well though (perhaps only 94-95)

They will fit under 87-93 hoods

the explorer lower will not match your stock lower (follows GT-40 standard).

I ran an explorer upper/lower for about a year.

so i can you use a explorer upper with a ported stock lower, right?

Nope. The explorer runners match the cobra/gt 40.
