I have some shims for pedestal mounts in my garage, maybe a dozen or so. You should be able to make some out of tin stock, I forget the thickness though... ? 0.05, 0.10, 0.15?

I quess you adjusted yours? Did you find this to be a problem. My topic for valve train problem!
The lifter is opening the valve and not letting it close all the way??

doesn't close all the way? too tight
back off bro.
If you're desperate (and I had to do this) run a compression test on the cylinder you're working with after you are done with the rocker.
