Hey..Icalibrated my TPS and didnt notice any change in the way the car performs??>>It was off according to the specs for voltage I found...The car is a totally stock 88 maf 5 speed hatchback. Can anyone tell me why I was told to calibrate it.They made it sound like my car was going to blow up if I didnt..voltage was .786 and I was told it needs to be between .977-.999..

It wasn't THAT far off. If it was off the other way past 1 volt, you might'ov had idle problems.

setting the TPS to 0.98514361 volts exactly is yet another mustang tuning rumor. 0.8 ish is fine.
