if i change the stock gears to 373's will the car actually go faster? or do i need to change the tranny gears too? and will just changing the gears break anything?

Going from 2.73's to 3.73's could easily take off .3 seconds off your 1/4 mile time. It makes your car faster,not more powerful. You dont need to change your tranny gearing,and hopefully it wont break anything out back.

What year mustang do you have? If its pre '99, you won't need to change tranny gears, but will have to change your speedo gear ($10).
