does any one know what the coating looks like that ford puts on the throttle body to prevent carbon build up ,,,well i pulled mine off and its black as night,,,also does any one know about the recall on the intakes for 98 cobras that tripleplay mentioned in his post

Mine was black also. Just go get a can of Carb/Chock and ThrottleBody cleaner and spray it on it will desolve everything and wipe it with a cloth.
