I Swaped in another known good MAF and the car still has driveability problems and poor idle conditions??
The car bogs when I snap the throttle and is feeling like it's losing it's tune??
Then on very random nights the car will cut off when crusing and the check engine light will com on for about 10 sec of untill the car snaps out of it. WTF???

Any help would be great and thanks for reading all this [Frown]

Tonight I'm gonna check every plug including the 10 pin's, dist, MAF ect so I hope to fing something.
Could o2's have anything to do W/ this problem??

make sure every connector is clean...i will make a huge change if they are dirty

You swapped the electronics off of the MAF onto yours or the whole MAF including electronics????

The whole MAF.
If the alternator is taking a shit will that have any effect on the car. I know ot's charging but it will not hold a load?

OK I checked everything last night from 02's to ECT and any other sensor I could get my hands on.
I cleaned every single connection including the 10 pin's and they were clean anyway. All my plugs look real good;not a spec of corrosion on them.
I even added a ground strap into the circuit to make sure I have a good ground for the computer.

The car still runs like shit and wont hold an idle [Mad] WTF I have checked everything I think and am clueless now [Frown]

I'm gonna try swaping in another computer as well; is it possible that it has a problem like this???

Hey have you tried this yet? How did you check the O2's, I posted this in your last post....

"Have you tried starting the car with the O2 sensors disconnected yet. Disconnect the negative battery terminal for a couple of minutes. Then hook it back up and start the car with the O2's unplugged. This will allow the car to run with only the MAF and in open loop. If it runs then it's not the MAF. Did you clean the element yet? If it doesn't run still then hook up 1sicklx's MAF. Just a couple more suggestions for ya."

Also can you post or e-mail me all the engine mods you've done. What type of tune do you have on the computer. Did this all of the sudden start happening or did it start when you installed something. Just trying to help.

I forgot to try runing the car with no 02's pluged in. I now know the MAF is fine cause with either one pluged in the car still runs exactly the same.
If I run the car with no 02's will it tell me anything else like if an 02 is bad or something???

I thought that when you first fire the car up it does not take any readings from the 02's untill about a min.

Well I just did the 02 sencer test by unpluging them then runing the car and it still ran the same even alil worse??
Then I unpluged the BAT. for like 30sec and did the test again and same deal.
I pulled the chip out and the car ran worse then ever?

Could my computer be fucked??

hey hows it goin well we are haveing the same fucken issues with my friends freddys car

I posted to see any one had any ideas
today we are goin to try swapping parts from brothers cars

I'm thinking it cold be the idle air bypass valve
or the 02 sensors

we tried swapping TFI and well same shit the car will idles for a minute and die once its warmed up

it drives but it jerks at low rpm and once you get into high rpm its fine

I'll let you now what we find since since we have my bro's car to take parts off and try diffrent things

Ujstlost please do get back to me cause the problems you are describing are very similar to mine.
I swaped in a known good idle valve and same shit.
The idle valve would not cause boging when driving at low R's like you are explaining.

The only thing I have not swaped in yet is TFI and TPS, computer.

well we tried the idle valve and it helped alittle now when it gets hot it just surges but takes longer to turn off

today were are goin to try anothere distributer,MAP,and computer if that does not do it then we are goin to swap the whole throddle body on sat

ill keep you informed will find it even if we have to swap the dam wiring harness lol

Is the car your working on have a blower??

If this is just an idle problem then I would try fords lil spacer kit for the bypass valve.
I didn't work on mine but they made it for same problems were having. [Fucked up design] [Mad]

yea it has a NOVI2000 on it

we tried swapping the air by pass valve wich would be the same thing ass adding that spacer but we had same problem so we are goin to swap TFI on sat as well as the computer well thats if the TFI does nothing for it

if you like to cruz by your welcome to maybe your problem is the TFI

we have a couple of distrubuters you can try out
later
