gears,headers,pullies,flowmasters...
people say swaping out the heads to 99 and newer heads is a good idea on 96-98 gt..

i have a 96 gt also.
Heres what i would do for the money and ease on install.
1.cold air intake
2.h-pipe
3.flow mufflers
4.underdrive pulleys
5.larger throttle body (70-75mm)
6.shorty shifter
7. Gears and headers are hard to install and you might have to take it in to a shop unless you have a lift.
8.lowering suspension for conering and better launches
