Hey just out of curiosity - when you advance a stock 5.0s timing and run higher octane - can you really notice any difference? I just thought about that

I went to Walmart like you reccomended and i looked up in there books and it lists plugs for a 91 five O as Autolite 25 not 24. So instead of getting the Autolite base plugs i got the AP25 which are the Autolite Platnium plugs. No wi just need a cap and rotor to complete my tune up.

Should have gotten the Autolite 24's. They're a heat range cooler. Platnium plugs are a waste of money in my opinion.

For what its worth, I have about 80K miles on my spark plug wires, 20K miles on my Autolite 24's, and about 60K miles on my cap and rotor and my stock motored 5.O runs just as hard, if not harder than the next stocker 5.O.

Oh well now i know for next time, i will put the new plugs, cap, and rotor in on Thursday to see if it fixes my car's problem. Thanks for all the advice.

Oh yeah i gapped the plugs at .054, does that sound right?

My friends 5.0 noticed a little difference, just seemed a little peppier around town...if you want, some weekend if I ever run into you again, I can bring my shit and we can do it in about 15 minutes.
