I really need help! I bought an Autometer Tach and I dont know which wire is the lead wire that I hook up to my coil? Its DOHC of course(98 cobra SVT)!

Its the green wire from the tach and your '98 Cobra doesn't have a coil. There is a wire near the steering column it connects to, but I don't remember exactly where. I'm sure others here will know...

It's an orange wire with a white stripe comming out of the comp. I'll check my diagram and give you a pin# tommorrow if I get a chance...

note: wire changes color before it reaches the instrument cluster. I'll tell you that color too.

Ok bro-
On page 6-70 of the chiltons it shows that pin# 48 is the one your looking for. It is an orange wire with a white stripe that somewhere in it's path changes to a tan with a yellow stripe. This is noted on page 6-69.
My friend and I hooked an autometer tach up to this comp. pin(#48 ORG/WHT) and never had a problem....good luck.... [Big Grin]
