I've used one of those 'ring' re-usable gaskets between the H-pipe and my longtubes. No leaks after about 4 assemble/disassemble cycles.

At the header, some guys use that copper gasket sealing super high temp stuff. Hopefully you don't have to use that crap.

Yeah gasket i dont use any gaskets between my headers and x-pipe and there are no leaks. Leave it off and save a couple bucks.

Actually i got to re-use the gasket once more, didnt have to spend the extra couple bucks for the gasket, and no leaks. Ford wanted 14 dollaah for the gasket [BS flag]

The joint between the manifold and the intermediate pipe doesn't require a gasket [Confused] .

Modular`s have a gasket on the passenger side exhaust manifold. 5.0 motors Do Not use any at all and that is why you 5.0 guys are thinking this guy is nuts, but he is right and you do NEED a gasket! You should not need any sealant. When I put my X pipe on my 98 cobra I just re used the original one. Inspect the old one, if it still looks fine you should be alright. If it looks smashed or to toasted change it. You will not need any sealant though. The gasket if you replace it will slide over the studs, grab on with little tabs that are on the inside of the bolt holes of the new gasket and stay in place.
