I have kind of a raspy rattle coming from my exhaust at high RPMs. It's not noticeable at idle. Do I have an exhaust leak?

uhhh....yeah or maybe some losse header bolts.

It must be my heat shield. Now I have to wait for the thing to cool off so I can reach under there and yank on it

Could be your cat too. Had that happen to me on a 99 cobra.

I think it is my cat. 
Joe at Mustang Ranch just looked at it and we talked for a while and he suspects the cat. Good thing it's still under warranty
