I have a brand new gt 40 crate motor from summit with all the bolt on stuff ,intake,injectors 19hf,70mm m.a.f,65mm throttle body,when i put on my fuel pressure regulator and my m.a.f for 19pound injectors my car will not idle right and will cut out somtimes when i step on it,its like the car is choking. Ive did all the normal stuff like clean T.B the idle control and i think the timing is right at 14 degrees.and my t.p.s is set right fuel pressure is at 35psi can anyone help me

you "think" or you "know" the timing is at 14 degrees? Did the distributor ship 'installed', or did you have to take a stab at it?

If you go for the timing by the balancer, either you set it 100% right, or it is 180 degrees off.

That being the case, generally speaking, flop the distributor 180 and give it a whirl.

Check your MAF connections and try to swap another one out.


Sounds like it *went* bad on you.

swaped out maf veh runs better but still will not idle on start up
