I noticed everything I drive my cobra, one of my cats gets really hot....I once tried to change the headers myself, but it was to hard trying to get around other parts. So what I did was replace my 4 cats by installing just 2 cats in it. But still the same new cat on the left side gets RED HOT again. Do you think I need to tune up the engine..there are knocks still..I really need some kind of advice...help!!!!

an exhaust leak can sound like a knock-- sorta. But this is usually only at the block/exhaust manifold juncture.

could it just be an exhaust leak at the manifold? engine 'knock' is severe engine damage. valvetrain 'ticking' is a nuisance, but could be serious.

red-hot cats sound like your car is running really lean? though I'd expect your headers to be hotter than your cats.
got a check engine light?

There is no check engine light...Some how I feel like it just needs a computer tune up..I dont think there is anything wrong within the engine you know..I really dont hear any noise from the engine...maybe my timing is off..what do you think

Red hot cats means you're overly rich. The extra fuel is being burnt up in the cats and causing them to glow. What year cobra do you have?
