is the gear break-in period 100 miles? I'm pretty sure they said don't drive over 55 and don't drive more that 15 miles without a 30 minute break for the first 100. Then change the oil at 500. Is this right?

initial break in period is 100 miles. Do not romp on it or be hard on it till 500 and till you have changed your fluid![ March 04, 2002: Message edited by: 1SicgrnGT ]

sorry if this is a dumb question, but how come they don't recommend this for brand new cars? wouldnt it be the same idea? when I first got my car I did a few nice long burnouts, and took it to sears point and ran some 13's bone stock, all within the first 300 miles.
