do 6 1/2 to be safe... thats if you just put on a new filter also... manual says 6 but they dont factor the empty filter...and a word to everyone.. NEVER LET A 32V MOTOR EVEN RUN 1 QT LOW !!! w/ the RPM's that these things spin that's just asking for a spun bearing/kicked rod...

Using the digital counter at work my cobra held 7qts. To this date when I check it, it is still at the max line. Put 6 in then fire it up for a second then check the dipstick.
