Installed my 76mm C&L tonight. Thought it would solve my problem. Thought my old mass air was calibrated for 19lbs and I am using 24lb injectors. So I got a new 24lb MAF from C&L. Engine sounds really different. When I get on it now, totally boggs. Timing is 12 degrees and fuel pressure 42 at idle. I need to borrow a timing light and play with my fuel regulator too. I did all this because when I dynoed my air fuel was 20 to 1. Someone said get a new MAF instead of a chip. Now my car runs worse. Can someone guide me to tune my car. Can someone lend me a timing light? Thanks.....

Do you have the 24 lbs sample tube in that C&L? Know of a buddy with a PRO-M 24lbs MAF you can try out?

Yeah it is 24lb MAF with tube and all!!

assuming the electronics you transfered from your old MAF is good...... what else is your car doing 'wrong' besides boggging?

Not accerlating normally. Making wierd noises like it is sucking a golf ball through a hose. Idling like crap. I still think it is better though. I think I need to advance the timing and adjust fuel pressure. I still don't know if the MAF I took out was a 19 or 24. Doesn't say anything on the MAF. Why was my Air fuel so high. Dyno guy said I am not getting enough gas and curve was all over the place.

your fuel pressure sounds 'close enough'.... I'd try electronics from a known working MAF, or borrow a pro-m 24 lbs MAF.

I have another MAF with a brand new sensor I can swap out. I have all kinds of parts. Just can't get them to work right. The sensor is from a FM 30lb MAF. Will that sensor work???

A ford 30 lbs MAF? Where did you get this from? A Thunderbird super coupe? C&L's "expect" '88-93 5.OL MAF electronics..... but the cobra MAF is 'close enough' to work in most cases.... and the cobra MAF is what the super coupe MAF is based on.
