The last time I went to the track the best time I could get was 14.39 at roughly 98 mph and I think this was on 7 cylinders with street radials.
On 3/22, I'm going again but have added Drag Radials, 4:10s, Crane Ignition, and have resolved the 7 cylinder issue by replacing a burnt out plug wire.
How much better should my times be. Below are the mods from the last trip to the track...

DEEP into the 13's at worst.... Mid to high 12's with a good launch.

I'd say mid 13's @103.2 being a convertable with a roll bar and auto. One way to find out run it. Post some times when you do. Good luck

Well with your list of mods if your car was a 5spd coupe, you would be in the 12's.....Since your car is a conv, auto with a shift kit and converter...I think you should be running about mid 13's at around 103+mph...
I figure on adding about .4 tenths for an auto and .2 for the convertable top...
God luck... Maybe I'll have my T5 built by then and we could race.. [ February 28, 2003, 09:48 PM: Message edited by: Black94 5.0 ]

I was thinking the same thing (mid to low 13's) but it has been one disappointment after another.
Just when I add something new, something else happens and the good times go out the window.
Black94 50 - Cool come out to Sac on the 22 if you have it built and we can race...even though I'll probably loose. My name is Tony by the way.

my 60' times were in the 2.20 range. Hope the DRs and the 4:10s will drop me into the 1.9 range.

I'm pretty sure that's an easy 12 second combo, just get the launches down and a properly matching torque convertor.
edit: I have a similar combo but because of the 5-speed I can leave at 5k, that's a big advantage. If you could leave at 3500 or higher it would only help. [ March 01, 2003, 09:54 AM: Message edited by: shade-tree ]

I agree with you... I think I need a higher stall converter. With my street radials, I was leaving the line at 1800rpms and was spinning like crazy.
The next time I have some money, I think I'm gonna invest in a 3000 stall converter.

I'd say you'd hit 13's easy. Looks like a nice 5.0 setup
