So I need to install a hood pin kit. I have the cobra R svo scoop hood fiber glass. So im eonderingis there n e kits out there for fiber glass hoods for 87-93 mustangs. Thanx

any hood pin kit should work. i like the ford racing kit myself. they're SS which helps prevent rust.

you got it. i've used this kit on 2 different fiberglass hoods, never had an issue.

On a fiberglass hood, you want a kit like the Ford Racing one that has plates on both sides of the hood to sandwich the fiberglass in between. The cheap ones (like Spectre) only come with a top plate and the screws going into the fiberglass will not last very long. [ December 03, 2010, 11:07 AM: Message edited by: SteveL ]

Thats what I tought those tiny screws were not gona hold for long specially in fiber glass so for sure I need a kit that runs screws/bolts through both plates w/ nuts on bottom. I checked the ford racing one n it looks like it also uses those tiny screws but it nothing else comes up I ll have to use this kit. thanx for the imput n e more ideas will be appreciated.

this is the closest i got of my hood. these locks are practicably flush. got the from summit and they are locks so you need a key.
