Posting fir a friend.... The car in question is a 2000 Saleen , single cam , roots type s/c.... Anyhow , he's got a knock and is looking to replace his motor...he is interested in a 4 valve cobra motor from a 1997 cobra and wants to know if the conversion is even possible and if it is what's nessacary to complete the swap ????

It's really just bolt in and go, hed be losing power though unless that roots blower is making like 5psi.
and the rods in a 97 cobra motor are just as weak as his 2v motor, not worth the swap in that case imo.
Recommend finding a terminator setup to drop in.

+1 go with a terminator motor instead or get a built two valve and slap the blower back on.

I have an 04 Cobra short block built (brand new internals...bought from JohnB) and I have a pair of 04 Cobra heads complete with cames. All you need is head gaskets, oil pan and an intake.
I have an 01 Cobra upper/lower intake too...
PM me if intersted.
