I know i asked before but i'm kinda worried about my options as to replacing the AOD in the LX
Just wondering what you guys would do:
1. 90K mi AOD that was in a running vehicle w/ Transgo kit, OD servo, and deep pan?
2. Pick up a lower milage bone stock tranny from crashed vehicle?
The higher milage tranny is from one of the board members here but i'm a little worried about the life left in it....once again this will be a daily driver for my girl.
I know i should go with a rebuild but for $200-300 what would you suggest?

I'd put the low mileage tranny in now and get the other rebuilt so when the other goes out.

the aod is mine. my advice sounds bias.. but. If you plan on rebuilding a stock aod. Why not get an aod with a shiftkit. (140) upgraded overdrive servo(50) that little ring that holds it in place(5) and deep tranny pan,(don't remember the price (120 or more) and if it dies rebuild it. I mean.. Getting a cheaper aod and rebuilding it is also the way to go.... but keep in mind that you'd end up spending the money on the shiftkit, o servo and tranny pan... I would also recommend getting a tranny cooler. I was in the process of getting one but I decided to swap trainees. Good luck and let me know your decision.

Jerseys tranny is a FAR better option. lol, you going to take someones word that the wrecked fox only has 51k instead of 151k AND that it worked? With Jersey's tranny you know it works pefectly because he just took it out and he is local to answer any problems.

I hear ya guys and i mean no disrespect to you Jersey about about asking other peoples opinions
I'm trying to lessen the chance of removing-installing-removing-installing if the tranny ends up bad but i guess that's just a gamble i'll have to take either way.
See ya tomorrow Jersey
