I'm thinking of getting a D & D kit....$590 with
k member, a arms, coil over kit (choice of sping rate). how hard is the install and how long does it take?

I have that kit, it was pretty easy to install, took me about 3-4 hours with the motor OUT of the car. It would be difficult to do with the motor in the car because you have to support it from the top somehow.

It takes 8-10 hours on average. The motor must be supported with an engine support brace while the k-members are swapped. Shoot me a pm if you need someone to install it for ya.

there are only 2 companies I'd ever in my wildest dreams consider as a source for parts for coil-over conversions. Maximum Motorsports and Griggs. I use MM with mind altering results. Mooey Bwaynoh.

Griggs is another fave of mine.

Above all, you get what you pay for. Pay now or pay later... it's your choice.

Griggs K-member is also very nice. Seems a bit stronger, but is heavier also.

ive dealt with a griggs k member, it was chrome moly and lighter than hell, looked just like a dnd except in cm

MM is a very strong and heavy k member, weight savins over stock are negligable, but you get much better geometry and strength

dnd and upr arent great qaulity, i have a dnd and its a pos compared to the griggs and PA units i have seen

for roadracing you cant beat the MM k member, the griggs is nice but too much money

for a street/strip car I would go with PA or AJEm k member, both are good quality, fit right, are plenty strong, and are light [patriot]

Anyone else have problems with there Griggs setup being loud as all hell? I mean, it seems like every last bit of road noise is running straight into my car since the k member install.

the griggs k memeber in the car i am referring to doesnt make any noisy [Confused]

could you have tightened the a arm bolts to much causing them to bind at the k memeber, making the noises, just a thought

We've got the MM and Griggs K-members on our wall, and the Griggs is heavier... I'm not sure if the MM is the standard or HD tho...

Nope, you're 100% RIGHT. I had 'em backwards! The Griggs is lighter than the MM. MM has the box tubing. The only thing is that the Griggs one we have is for a fox, and the MM is for a fox, with a 4.6 conversion, so there's a little more metal on it. Swing and a miss for me.

all combo's I've been at the helm of have exhibited added NVH. They're a good bit more rigid than stock parts and the bushings are uniformly stiffer than stock.

Feel lucky... I use delrin bushings on my front end. I run over a lane marker dot and you'd think I hit a dog it's so loud.
