How much power do you want?
My car dynoed 457/525 rear wheel with the stock longblock, off-road exhaust, 9psi, & 25 degrees total timing (which required ~94 octane).

93pony, what else is done to ur car except what is liste above, like porting, chip, gears, tranny, ignition, if all u have is the charger and the exhaust, i cant wait to dyno the cobra after 10psi of procharger

This kit w/the Ceramic coating & T64 options. Off-road exhaust, since the kit is not smog legal anyway. Stock longblock & a custom Turbo cam. Much like the cam I'm getting.

Actually, that was the old motor. & all it had was what I listed above.
I now have a 331 w/8.9 to 1 compression, Same stock GT40 iron heads w/home ported exhaust bowls, dual (stiff) valvesprings, stock valves. VRS catted X pipe, Dynomax Race-bullet mufflers, 9psi, pump 91 octane, 36lb injectors (came with the kit) dual 255lph fuel pumps, Incon mass-air, etc. Autologic chip tuned by Byron. 19 degrees timing at peak torque, 21 degrees total. The stock GT cam on a 114ICL dynoed 430RWHP at 4700rpm & 511RWTQ at 3800rpm. I'm currently waiting on a custom FTI cam. Something in the order of 230/218 113LSA 111ICL. Power should jump.

Forgot to mention. I'd also recomend a Valvetrain upgrade with the turbo/cam. Springs, retainers, & locks should do it.

Yep, heard good things about them but have not seen one in person. You must delete the smog pump. Not really a big deal. I'd still recomend the PT64 upgrade.

Are there smog legal turbo kits and if so why are they rarely used? Maybe they are used often, I might just not hear of those.

Currently there are only 2 kits that carry a CARB #. The 10+ year old DDMI kits, & the Incon kits. Both are very similar. Incons pop up used every few weeks.
Yes, my shit's 100% smog legal.

OH, i'm sorry. I thought I saw somewhere recently that you had said that your car wasn't smog legal so you took off all your smog equip. My mixup. I can't wait for the day that I get to see your car.

I'll try that. I recently had some heavy back surgery so I will have to wait to see how it feels then.
I had a black one that I bought with a salvage title so I never really took care of it (nossed the shit out of it). In my opinion those are the best stangs built from the 80's on..... Someday when the deal comes around I will pick up another virgin one with low mileage and keep her that way.

I wish mine was bone stock. I'd rather have this motor in a coupe with different heads/intake. One day I may return her to stock...or as close as possible.

No problem. I normally post them in the 'Ford sale' section when I see them.
