Ok so ive decided to build a 331. Ive confirmed that im going with a coast high performance 331 stroker kit with free balancing ill be picking up a good condition 302 off of craigs or here getting it decked honed line bore and bored out. Ill be going with e streets with 2.02 valves 1.6 rr.... I cant decide whether to go tfs 2 or maybe a b cam so you guys help decide that. Ive read a lot of great stuff on the holley systemax intake so im going in that direction 75mm tb and egr spacer n/a power pype and pro m maf. If someone can help me with cam suggestions and on injector size and alao fuel delivery maybe some other odds and ends it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot cafords Oh yea ill be looking for a notch roller very soon 89-93 clean title with wiring all there for most part the rest is undecided. So like i saod lmk what you guys think

before you buy anything....turbo50 has a 331 stroker block and kit for sale..better and kit than they offer...
but for cam suggestions, I'd go with a custom cam form Hi Tech motorsports...42 lb injectors and a 255lb in tank pump should be enough for a good 331 combo..

+1.
For roughly the same cost you can stroke a 351W F4TE block. Just a thought.........

Have you looked into a new sportsman block? The cost of getting an old block and then all the machine work might cost more than getting the sportsman. For the cam, call comp and lunati and get their recommendations before buying anything.

how much you spend on your build? the 331 will cost me 860 to my door already balanced. head will hopefully cost me 900 to my door also (turbo50 ) everything else cost less either used or cheap plus the cos of a roller and miscellaneous things. im hopefully shoting for 5000 dolar project all complete

Ur are gonna be another $500 MINIMUM into it for machine work, gaskets, timing set, cam, lifters, oil pump, oil pump driveshaft, oil pump pickup, engine finishing kit (dowels, freeze plugs etc) oil, filter, rockers, pushrods.............there are tons of areas you can shortcut on but first trip to 6,000rpm at the track or on the street regularly and you are pushing it.

Then you gotta assemble it yourself, which isnt hard but can be costly to learn on your nice new parts and make any mistakes...

Just save yourself from a head ache and buy turbo 50's motor . You won't believe how the little stuff adds up. I'm into my build over just into my engine over 3k just in parts .

My motor is no longer for sale because I am robbing the rotating assembly out of it for this very reason.
The 331 kit you are getting to your door balanced for 860 you will not be happy with if you add any power adder or see any kind of rpm imho

Yeah $860 is considerably less than I spent on my old 306 cid block, so I can't imagine that it would be worth a crap
