c/o don't matter, it's the control arms that matter, if you have good lower control arms then you can ditch them.

if your not running a wide rim where you might have to remove for clearance issues, I would keep them. they are only going to help with wheel hop

i have coilovers and tubular upper and lower control arms. when i went to coil overs first time out it wheel hopped like a bitch. talked to the coil over kit people and they said you must run the quad shocks. put them back on and it was fine.
