I currently have a 347 install in progress. With my current setup I'll be using an after market TB, I believe it's a 65mm. While I can still use it I know it will be a source of holding back the motor. SO I'm entertaining a larger TB, 75mm or 70mm. The car is my daily driver and will be mainly street. Any suggestions??

I would match the tb size the the size of the upper intake opening. Some are 70mm openings and others are 75. What intake are u using?

wasap Duncan... Long time no hear! You stilll have the painter with you?? I may need to stop by and discuss some stuff with him.

I'm curious as to why some people dont like the old GT40 intakes?? Each time someone asks my setup I get the opinion that I should upgrade to a different intake?

I'm sure a few people have read this article:

the GT40 did pretty well all around, and should be a good combo for a street motor. My whole intention was to have a stout street motor built so that I can drive my daily and have a little fun while I'm at it.

I don't really understand why people say it's not good. It is designed to make good low-midrange power and does a very good job at it. If you are looking for serious top end then there are other intakes that are better. The GT-40 works even better when you port the lower.

heres something i have been using to figure out which throttle body to use

cid x rpm / 3456 = cfm
347 x 6250 /3456 =628cfm

It's NOT illegal. It's just frowned upon, like masturbating on an airplane.

75mm should be sufficient. Match it up with the upper intake. Hopefully this was up-graded already.
