personally I installed a 5spd tranny harness, it plugs in at the drivers kick panel and goes to the tranny through a rubber access plug on the trans tunnel, took less than 5 mins to swap the entire harness.

yeah i just finsished computers and then left the nuetral safety switch bypass on so i didn't have to use it and pluged the reverse light switch in. So far everything works just find i used my stock aod computer for awhile but didn't like it so i put a 5pd computer in it and havent had any problems yet.

I don't think so, you can swap the harness by just removing the kick panel than pulling the carpet back.

you may need to remove the drivers seat, door sill, and center console in order to pull the carpet back far enough.
