Author Topic: Carbed 88 project -NORCALCOBRA- ¯ Member # 2383 posted                              Well I have had a 88 torn down for some time car has a salvage title I blew a head gasket in it a while back tore it down to the short block, I wanna do a carb swap on it. I know i will need a Intake, carb, Throttle linkage and a new fuel pump. What else will I need ? I need somthing new to play with because the custom intake manifold for the cobra is not ready yet .. I already started cleaning up the engine bay welding up the holes and I also cut out the lower radiator support it was smashed from the wreck. And I fabbed up a new piece front feels alot stiffer now when I shake the car and is stronger than stock I also removed all the a/c, smog, front bumper support.
