My 87 Speed Density coupe was really quick... I kept it STOCK from throttle body to pan and with cold air, 3.73s, long tubes and x pipe, it would ripe off 12.9s on slicks.

the 3 best mods for the dollar are...in this order

1) nitrous
2) gears
3) tires (NOT nittos....but et streets)

1 and 2 require #3 for any real benefit

but for about a $1000 you can take a totally stock 5 speed fox to mid 12's all day long with all 3

after that dont even bother til you do heads

Under 125 is perfectly safe on bone stock 5.0

But you'll wanna upgrade your fuel pump for safety, just so its new and 100% reliable

Also your probably gonne see that it only takes 75 hp jets to cut a full second off, and only another tenth or 2 with the 125's

Then youll just stick with the 75's and that's super safe. Safe enuff that I have run 14* timing and stock plugs gapped .042" with midgrade

Don't make it a habit though

I really like the NOS 5115 dry kit

I have used zex, edelbrock and NOS kits

I prefer NOS for various reasons....better selonoids, beefier other components as well
