Ive heard a lot of negativity on hear drives, but i was thinking of.grtting a prtr jackson gear drive on my car. E303 1.6 roller rockers, gt40 heads, ...whatchall think? Stick to a chain or go to the gear drive

I had a gear drive before when I was young on my first 347 because I thought that shit was cool. I then came to the conclusion that it is fucking to loud and robs you power. Stick with a chain if you want to make more power.

Gear drives are really noisy and can cut a hole into your timing chain cover if not installed properly(this is not good incase you were wondering)

I've heard that gear drives will set off the knock sensor

Gear drives have zero benefit. Just something else to wear and put metal flakes in your oil. If you really needed something serious a belt drive is the way to go. For a street car buy a double roller chain you cant go wrong. And you don't sound like a fag who thinks they have a supercharger
