Looking to smog my car for the last time and maximize my combination.

What are some of the basics?

This is a roller block from 1987.

I know I need new lifters, I will be picking up a set of Jesel Shaft mounted rockers as well.

Combo will be, but not limited to :
11:1 331
TEA Ported Afr 185s
Ported Victor Jr Intake
600 + lift solid roller
1 3/4 LTS
4:30s

Any input would be great! As this will be my first time using a solid roller.

Thanks

Assuming this is the factory 2 bolt block, given your specs I would suggest a 4 bolt block to start with. There isn't much to convert to solid roller aside from custom pushrod lengths however, that block is not reliable past 7K. For what you seem to be contemplating you would achieve peak power in the 7500 range. This is taking into account a cam with 615ish lift, 240 ish duration at .05 and a LS of 107 with a LSA of 110-108. I give these specs because anything less will be a waste of time given the parts you are listing. As for maximization, are you going for a dragrace only platform or street/strip combo. If it is the latter I would strongly advise against your current plan as it is going to be nightmarish adjusting valves every 5000 miles, which is what is demanded of solid lifter combinations.

Thats nice.
I dont care about the block or internals.
Looking for max NA power.

I'm well aware of the maintenance involved.

Looking for the process and parts required.

Anyone have other input?

If you're looking for max NA power, then why only 331 cubes? Also, why wouldn't you care about the internals? They're pretty important in making HP.

Motor is already built and running.
Has been for 2 years.
Over it.

I'm doing a NA based new combo.

Basically a intake/cam swap

Playing with my options.
