What valve springs are people running with their E cam? Stock springs? I bought some ported E7's and had them checked out and the aftermarket Manley springs that were on there are close to 400lb's per inch. Probably too much for this cam. Since I have to get new springs what is everyone else running with this cam? Thanks

Thanks for the heads up. I was looking at those springs and thinking of going that direction of more of a stock replacement. Are you running the GT-40 heads or the E7's?

I am running HD Manley springs with my E303 cam & 1.7 Cobra rockers. FWIW, I have heavily ported/polished/decked GT-40Y alum heads.

125# closed (seat) pressure
375# open pressure

My engine revs cleanly to 6K RPM with the above setup.

Personally, I wouldn't run the stock GT40Y springs with the E303 & the 1.7s...not enough spring pressure.

Regards,
Sean L.
