anybody know a good mechanic shop in San Jose to take my mustang too? any recomendations? some where not to expensive but good quality work...

well... i dont know if u remember i had posted on the stallions board the skreetching sound my car was making... and i know alot of people were telling me my motor may be fucked because of the 150 shot of nitrous i was using but i wanted to know what exactly is wrong with it.

hmm well you could always take it to apex
they will run a compression test, along with a leak down test. and tell you what it could be also

but from the video you took it sounded to me like you cracked a piston .

If you want to bring it by my house, I could probably tell you if its a piston cracked or a spun bearing

so right now its one of thouse 2. its upto you if you want to pay money to get a confermation on the problem. eithere way you will have to pull the motor and take it to a machine shop and get it fixed or buy a new short block

If I were you i'd take it to UJSTLST's house and have him tell you what's wrong. I bet he can even get you going on another motor and install it for you. I've been saved my him more times than I care to admit....he's my hero LOL [Big Grin] [Razz]
