Anyone else have a TKO with a short shifter? Mine is really hard to shift. The only way to shift quick is to power shift, otherwise it doesnt like going into gear. It feels notchy. Anyone have any experience with this?

How long has it been installed?
Mine was notchy as hell until I broke it in.
Are you 100% sure the clutch is adjusted properly?

mine has a really short shifter, it is very notchy and i have 2000 miles, with no powershifting, but it might be different for me because i have it in mid shift mode for the cobra

I have a tko with a pro50 it sure doens't shift like the stock setup but i don't mind or have any complaints.

Mine is notchy as hell, especially going into 3rd gear! Sometimes it wont even go into 3rd when I quick shift! I have about 3800 miles on it, gotten a little better, but not much!

dont lie jeff, u have a 3550 with some upgraded parts, as much as u want it to be a tko it will always be a 3550, hahahaha ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)
oh yeah jeff, i am gonna buy that coupe and there is nothin u can do about it, ha, if u get in my way, i will have powerline steal ur car, and then give it to me for parts, cobra could use a 351W, ![[dance]](graemlins/dance.gif)

its not the clutch. Its got less than 2000 miles on it.

I have the exact same problem. It must be because its made to take so much torque and the internals are real beefy????

I got a TKO with a pro 5.0..It feels great.. I dont have trouble missing gears..Does feel a lil stronger/harder to shift..but im usto it already.

I have a 3550 & Pro-50...It was very notchy at first, although I never had a problem finding gears. I have about 15,000 miles on it and it's a LOT better now. But notchy is better than sloppy

After powershifting the hell out of my TKO, it still is pretty stiff from 2nd to 3rd, but I take performance edge over the shifting ease anytime.
