sup , im trying to put my bbk equal length headers in my 90 lx and i ran into a fat ass problem i cant untighten the rusted bolts hold the h pipe to the stock headers. its hella rusted and i tried a whole bunch of WD-40 its not helping ? anyone have any ideas?? [Confused] [BS flag] [dance] [Mad]

MORE WD-40 [Wink] and get a piece of pipe to out over the breaker bar your using to gain more leverage.............theyll come out and if you snap em new studs and nuts are cheap as hell..

Now give those bolts hell!

air tools!!! gots to love em'.
but if your still having some trouble. have a friend hold the top of the bolt with the correctly fitted wrench. then get under there and use your breaker bar and start pulling. or, start kicking [Wink]

ahah thanks yea im going to try 3 more coats of wd40 and then use more leverage if it doesnt work ....fuk ! if i break the bolt wont i be in a stuck situation? ill have to drill the rest out right?

all you need if leverage to get it off how big is the rachet your using I member I use to have a bitch of a time takeing thouse types of bolts off with my stander tool but i went to sears and bought one that is like to feet long and man it makes alot of diffrence

im using a small ass wrench because my o2 sensor is in the way and im having a bitch of a time getting that off. if i got that off i have like a 9 inch ratchet that i can use same with the wrench

Take the O2 sensors out of the h-pipe and use wd -40 like you said and your going to need to get soem air tools man.

Why didnt you take the O2 out? Are you trying to make it hard on yourself? lol...........It takes like awhopping 8.5 seconds...i think...........oh well did you get the bolts off yet?

go get the 02 sensor removal tool. with that it will pop right out. its only a few dollars for one up at kragen

i tried taking it of but the biggest wrench i had was 3/4 im not sure if it fit but the cat was in the way so i couldnt remove it ...... but yea i bought some gettho rust remover and that shit ate right through the rust and the nuts came right of now im driving with equall lenght headers haha . took me hella days to get them in too.
