For 7,900 I could hope on Corral and find me a clean ass '90 on up with under a 100k on the clock.

Im sure you can find millions of 90-93 coupes, nothing special at all everyone has one!

However finding an 86 5.0 coupe in this condition isnt something you see to often.

I dont think the price is far off at all, leaves some room for negotiating [Whoo Whooooo!]

I dont want my 85 to look like that, ew. Im riding 5 lug, disc brakes all around, sn-95 style rear end and black FR500's. Not to mention the Mach 1 hood. Its a nice car but id rather buy a s/c 93 Cobra for that price.

Fukk yeah, sign me up!

Where does the line form for a S/C 93 Cobra for $7900.00?

[Roll Eyes]

People got em on here for like 8.5-10k. So not exactly 7900 but still. Id rather come up with the extra cash then buy a mostly stock 86, which the motor is garbage cause if you wanna change the heads you gotta change pistons, etc...

Posted by N8 (Member # 6048) on :

are manual windows desireable these days? I see more and more people putting this out there as a perk.

GLWS like I said earlier. Coupe is very clean, and you may find that 1 or 2 buyers out there for this. Obviously not for everyone.

An 86 GT Hatch is a very obtainable car with the mods you listed, nothing special or in anyway comparable to this guys coupe.

An 86 5.0 coupe is rare and worth WAYYYYYYYYYYY more than a comparable or even slightly modded 86 Hatch.

Hell in 01 I sold a Special Service EX Cia Car with NO FRILLS for $6000.00 with 198K and it was NOWHERE near as clean as this one.

CA Fords and the CA Bay Area In general has no idea about half the real foxbody cars value. This car is a prime example of a very clean unmolested car, however 90% of the "Mustang Enthisiasts" havent the slightest clue of what they are looking at!!!

Yeah back in 01 when the market was good and people had money. I appreciate the car trust me, but 7900 is rediculous.

Yeah market was crackin with 9/11 and all [Roll Eyes] Has nothing to do with the market, real people have real money and the market has NOTHING to do with it [Wink] Tire kickers and dreamers use the market as an excuse ( dont take it personal im saying as on overused excuse by many)

Im not saying the car will sell for $7900.00 but that car wll def pul $7k if advertised correctly(CAfords, not going to cut it)

I dunno the craze over chp or should I say "ex chp" cars is amazing, it means nothing unless it was original otherwise its a pounded into the ground mustang!

Yeah I don't understand why people are always raving about how their coupes were Ex-CHP's....

Manual Windows with a million miles and beat on harder then a mudafuka...

I always tell my friends this, IF you were a cop and they gave you a mustang to smash in all day, what would you do?

I know what I would do, I'd DAWG SHIT OUTA IT! Seriously, anything you brake will be replaced by a ford dealer anyway, I really don't get why people love Ex-CHP's.

I'd take an original V8 NON CHP Coupe over a SSP anyday!

The last time I owned an 86 notch like this it WAS 2001! I paid 2,800 for it then. If I had it now I'd ask around 6k plus for it.

I can count on one hand how many 86 5.0 5 speed notches in mostly original condition I've seen in person since I totalled mine in 01.

"The economy" is a piss-poor excuse for lowballing assholes who don't have the ends in the first place. Good cars sell for real money no matter what the current economic climate says. If you can't afford a good stang, then buy a shitty one.

I think the interior color may be hurting the sale of this car. Grey interior is easier to sell. Blue is still way better than Porno Red.

I dunno how to post pics. And my shit isnt that clean, its dope for what it is and will blow the doors off your 86, but anyways. Im not worried about looks, im tryna go fast. You got a clean car dood, just your asking too much. All im saying.

ok i finally got to a comp so i can type instead of my iphone freezing up.

we all know this tread is soon to be locked so dont worry stangboy start fresh and start RIGHT!

your mistakes
#1 posting on ca fords...
no one really know the value of a clean car on this site, they reference craigslist to compare prices.

#2 modding the car, belive it or not i think you devalued the car with the modds you added. no ones gonna spend 7900 on a car cause it has msd wires and a CAI plus you took away the smogability big (-)

#3 your add, when your selling a car your add is everything the more info the better the more that's stated in the add the better. Then people wont waste your time calling you and you wont waste people time.find some some with good writing skills/grammer/spelling and have them write the add for you they only have to do it once so if you have to pay them it will be worth it. just cut and paste the add to each site.
plus pics are worth 1000 words
i dont belive your car has over 100k its too clean it can be a simple mistake by dmv or a smog station id look in to that that can dramatically change your sales market.

your price isnt too far off from what i think you can get (out of state/before the modds ) just needs to be done right.
i trully belive if I owned your car i could get 7k for it in 60 days.
listen to haullinass maro what he is saying seems to be most correct.

hope your not taking this as shit talking just trying to spread knowledge that took me years to learn
