Just try to track down a stock H pipe and keep it for smog. You really should keep some type of cat on your car though, with all the cops out looking for shit to pull you over for its a good idea. By the way, as of earlier this year smog techs are supposed to be checking cats. Like other aftermarket parts they will have a CARB number on them or they fail..... just thought I'd pass that along.

I've got an H pipe off of a 98 that has 6 good cats on it, the car passed smog 2 months ago with flying colors. I will take $120 for it, that's about half of what you can but 1 cat for, and you can have the cats put on your car.

For those prices i'd make the drive . I drove all the way to sac one tiem to get a stock h-pipe and muffler assy. sometimes it's worth the drive.

Pay 300 for a smog hookup every 2 years or $150 for cats and gas and all good every 2 years.

passed smog today with some brand new magnaflow cat's. now i will be taking these off tell the next 2 years comes around, stupid CA games!!!!
