This is an 89 Ford Mustang Coupe, EX-CHP. I am selling it because I am finishing college soon and I won’t be able to take this car with me when I move. This car has a ton of mods on it and runs well. The mods are as follows: New stock block in 02, stock rotating assembly, Probe forged pistons with reliefs for 2.02 valves, AFR 165 heads 2.02/1.60, 58cc, emissions legal(#147), mildly ported, comes with flow chart, Edelbrock Performer RPM2 Intake, 3/8” spacer for Valve covers, Comp Cams XE270HR-114 Cam, Comp Cams Chromoly pushrods, Motorsport 1.6 Roller Rockers, pedestal, FMS 24# injectors, Kirban Adjustable fuel pressure regulator, MSD Pro-Billet Distributor, MSD Coil, 190LPH fuel pump, BHJ Balancer, ASP Pulleys, JBA Shorty Headers, Electric fan with DCController, Aluminum Radiator, FMS Ford Racing Aluminum Valve covers, Prothane Motor mounts, FMS 4.10s, tracloc shimmed a little tight when rebuilt in 03, all new bearings and seals, Superior 28 spline hardened axles, FMS Rear-end Girdle, FMS aluminum driveshaft, King Cobra clutch new in 02, Replaced rack and pinion in 07, New front brake pads, rotors, and bearings, Lakewood Driveshaft loop, Lakewood Lower control arms, Lakewood Traction Bars, Welded torque boxes, Welded in sub-frame connectors, Harwood 4” cowl hood, 17” Cobra rims, 275/45 Nitto Drag radials in rear in great shape new in 07, fronts in good shape too, Autometer 5” Cobalt Tach w/ Shift light, Alpine Deck/CD Player, good speakers as well.

Right now the car has a stock throttle body, EGR, airbox, cobra kit (computer and mass air), and a JBA h-pipe with high flow cats. I tried to smog this car as it sits and it did not pass. It was off by about 100hc at its best attempt. This was a pre-smog test so it wasn’t a failed smog test which means it doesn’t need to go to the referee. I don’t know the exact reason it did not pass. The smog tech said that he thought the cam is too big; however, people have claimed that they have gotten that cam through smog. It could be that the cats are not in good enough condition as well (Approx. 100k miles on them). It could be the combination of these factors, I’m not sure and don’t have the time to find the fix.

The registration is paid, it just needs a smog to get the sticker. There are a couple things wrong with the car that you should know about that may not be seen from the pictures as follows: Miscellaneous minor fluid leaks typical with cars of this age, Small leak at front windshield on passenger’s side of car, Dented front fender driver’s side, Dent on passenger side above rear tire on the fender, dime sized windshield chip, Some chipping and fading of the paint, Miscellaneous minor holes in dash from CHP equipment, Small tear in left side of driver’s seat typical with mustangs of this age, Failure to pass smog for unknown reason, fidgety gas gauge.

I am asking $6500.00 O.B.O. for the car as it sits. Make me an offer. I also have for sale, in addition to the car, 75mm Accufab throttle body and EGR, 75mm Pro-M mass air, Mac ProChamber, A9L computer, and a Mac cold air with C&L flow tube. For all of this additional stuff I am asking $550.00.

Please contact me with any questions and I can send you pics as well.
