honestly if u got a smog guy ya it could be its more like an old school muscle car but it does drive nicely and does not act like a race car...its just stripped of most of the originalness...

only thing missing is carpet and center console..i have custom door panels and rear seat delete..its a 79 notch with all 92 body panels..not regd...cost about 450 to reg it..and its rattled canned but looks good trust me..suspension mods are everything but a k member has been done...

oh trust me it runs on 87 and 91.i dont think he has ever had race gas in it. its not all about compression. camshaft has alot to do with it to. a 106 center bleeds off alot of cylinder pressure.

brought the car home today .. drove it down the street with the bald slicks .. got on it for maybe 1/2 a second and power shifted in to 2nd gear = ) .. lol car definatly has some power ..
but the breaks suuuuck ! either way 100% satisfied with the buy . definatly worth aloot more than the price it was sold to me ..

Do we know if he built the motor or even had first hand knowledge of what was in the motor? If he purchased the engine assembled he may have not known exactly what was in it. The same can be said for the rear end. I'm not sticking up for him but throwing out there that it could be information passed along from person to person. You should always research something to make sure your selling what you have and not what you think you have just to avoid this type of situation. Either that or he was just flat out lying, I can't say either way.

i seen the pics from the motor that was supose to be in the car .

worst part is . the car ran good . but 1 piston had lifted ring land and no top compression ring (thats why it had low comp). but yet nooooo damage to the heads . and no peieces of ring anywere else to be found wich leaves me to believe that he knew exactly what happend to the "built" motor and might have even opened it up before hand .

i have lifted ring lands before and let me tell you this the fuck up and leave definate damage to the heads .

he said it had a locker , eagle rods , and welded torque boxes . and it had none of these parts . i agree i got the car for a hell of a deal but no reason to be lied to about the supposed parts in the car . im not even trying to get money back . or anything else just for him to fucken admit he is full of shit .

what did he expect that no one would ever tear the car apart and look for all the aftermarket parts or what .(and then when it was torn apart to have him tell me i must have swaped out all the parts he said he had ??)

also he did say he built and turned every nut on the car . him having said this im sure it wasent a set of little worker elves that took the rear end apart learned how to weld and then welded the shit out the rear gears and pulled out the rods or just lied to him and told him they installed a set of rods ... hmmmm but who knows stranger shit has happend.

the best i ever got the car to run was a 11.8 im sure when the motor was healthy it did run the 11.6 . the first time i ever changed the plugs the plug on the bad piston had the spark plug strap destroyed (first time ever at the track). ??? and on a compresion test that piston showed over 75points less than the rest of the other 7 .

i got fucked . but like a our badass motherfucker brandon says ..(it is what it is bro )

i told hector the rear end had a locker in it with stock spline axles...i told him it was home made an a cheap way to do it but the rear end was strong..i cut 1.5 sixty foots all day atleast 50+ times an never had a problem with it...yes my ad states it had a built rear end but that was just a hook to get people to call considering i coulnt sell the car for 5 months...the ad was just an ad and i told him what was up when he bought the car...but he wont tell u that [BS flag] ...an the motor was already assembled when i put it in the car...i bought it from a machine shop an thats what was told to me...so thats what i told the purchaser...so how did i do him dirty when the info i was told was the info i relayed???? [Confused] so i guess i got lied to also...the pictures he originally had were from the guy i bought it from...i never took those pics...an now im getting blamed for all this bullshit an gettin threatened?? thats some fucked up shit...the motor was never hurt when i had it we build bad ass motors and cars for a living an i would have known...the last time i raced it it went the fastest it ever went...then a week after he bought it it almost matched what i had ran in it...so what gives???

last time i am going to post on this, THEY ONLY REASON i didn't jump in your ass that day is i had just put in in the shop to have it checked out and was only told at the time it was going to need some work and didn't know they extent of it and didn't want to jump to conclusions, if i had known that it was going to cost me $500 to get it the way you told me it was, things would have been different my friend.

that t5 was fucked up bud it leaked like a siv from day one....enough with the witch hunt, if you don't want to deal with him then don't, simple as that its your money. i don't know whats up with the broken ring land... we never had that motor apart from day one it was in the car so either it got spit out the exhaust or somebody tried spraying it up there street and didn't have a tune on it.... who knows. lesson is to ask for recites and inspect the entire car.

yes the c4 came from my old combo and i sold it to Brandon. it was giving me problems on the dyno by jumping out of 3rd gear. just put a new cable in it so i figured i didn't adjust it right. or hurt it. i got a 5 speed and sold it to Brandon. what he did with it is on him. im a honest guy and have never screwed anyone over... believe me or not im not questioning your integrity.

wow .. and dnt worry im not loosing sleep over any of this .. i got engines sitting on the floor of my gagrage that are easily worth x2 more than what i bought the coupe for .

the thing is .. if you had told me it had stock rear end parts or stock engine parts I WOULD HAVE STILL BOUGHT THE CAR FOR THE PRICE .

i would never ever sell shit or try to fuck people over in anything especialy in a hobbie so few of us can afford now and days .

but way to go you made a dishonest buck . a FYI i only had the car for about 3 1/2 months took it to the track only x2 .. drove it maybe 10-15 miles on the street . and yes the piston was damaged before i took the car off your hands .

any way to prove it ? no . not at all . but hey if the car you sold me really went 11.60s then shit im impressed . never new so much stock junk could go fast .

it is wat it is .. that might be my new favorite sayin .

i agree there is too many variables to go into to really say who is lying (polygraph if we really wanted to put this to rest). i am a man of my word . the spark plug was destroyed the first time i ever pulled them from that one cyl . i then made 1 pass with the new plugs shut it off and towed it to the pits(this was my best pass in the car and maybe the 7th pass i had ever took on it ) and that same cyl contaminated the plug with oil , checked compression at the track and all of them were fine that cyl that was hurt showed alot of compression loss . hense the reason i never sprayed it .

while pulling the heads not 1 damaged area of were the piston material should have hit everything in that cyl wall [Confused]

Dude i ahve blown up enough motors to know what a MELTED piston looks like. Never sprayed it my ass. And i saw you at the track in it looked like it ran jsut fine to me. You blew this bitch up not him. I seen and rode in that car and there was no lifted ring. Your right if it lifted a ring it would have fucked up the head. but if you spray it and it goes lean this is what happens. See all the White dust on the inside of the head that piston. this car went lean and melted the piston I will bet any thing.
