what mods are the tunes for?

Posted by 95Stangman (Member # 6020) on :

mods on it are a K&N filter, under drive pullies, o/r x pipe, and chambered mufflers for pump and race gas (2 tunes). The last tune is all of the above with an accufab throttle body on 91 octane.

i have been told that you can pay to have the tuner unlocked at any SCT dealer. I dont know how much it costs.

So it has to be unlocked to use it or to just have it retuned? If I can buy and just upload one of the tunes to my car I might be interested.

if you bought it brand new...they come with 5 unlocks on them. then after that they need to be sent to be un-locked.

all you need is the free software off sct.com to do so.

Jeff, if you buy this lmk kno and ill help ya. And i would deff get a retune for a diff car. The tune prolly also ECU code specific...so youd have to get a new tune anyways.....

i had to give them the fist 3 letters off my ecu which was AOL...yes you would probably want to retune if your car doesnt match my mods and the first three letters. was bought brand new from american muscle

Cool, if I decide to keep the car I'll need to get it tuned anyway so this would be a good place to start. I don't have many mods but need to get it dialed in anyway.
